Review: I chose Jack and his team for my website design earlier on in 2023, I had all the designs ready and completed for him (I am a brand designer myself for 14 years).There were numerous missed meetings (once of my own accord) This was fine, I am not a difficult client- there was an agreed payment term of 3 payments, We had a video call to go over some things (things that had already been explained and sent for Jack but it seemed like he had forgotten or gone off track – again, I was ok about this but it started to seem a little odd)I stated on the call that I would probably send some money over next week if that was ok with him, as I was getting paid for a job so I would send it a bit earlier, he said of course, no worries.Almost immediately after this call ended Jack had emailed me asking if there was any chance I could pay today rather than next week, I did find this a bit odd as I had mentioned it would be possible only next week. (again, this money was not due, I only mentioned that I would shoot some more across)He then proceeded to email me about this daily (5/6am and close to midnight on a few occasions which maybe lines up with the claims that you are not even based in Leeds anymore but rather in a different country)I thought this seemed strange and almost desperate for some cash, which does not strike me as something a professional company with a flow of clients would do.I paid the money the following week as I had mentioned I would on the call.Following this, there was complete radio silence, almost 6 weeks without a reply to any email which was not acceptable.Hounding me for the money left a bad taste in my mouth at the time and raised a big red flag but I was not expecting him to then stop responding to my emails. (he even stated on one email that he had made progress on the design and would show me when he received the payment I had mentioned I would send over) Almost as if to say, you would only show me when payment was received.. This was really starting to raise red flags for me at this point. After around 6 weeks, I simply received an email stating:’Will have an update for you at the end of this week, cheers!’ – No apology, no reason for the radio silence and following this email from him – another 2 weeks of radio silence (not at the end of the week like so abruptly stated) After this I emailed Jack an almost identical message to this review, asking for some form of a refund.I have now sent Jack £2,100 for basically nothing at this point and no response is ridiculous.I emailed him after 2 months of being fobbed off, and I stated on the end of the email that I would accept a £600 loss but the rest I would like refunding with my account details attached – he has never replied to me and I have never received a refund, this review is well overdue as I have been struggling and trying to get money together to find another web designer to get my company launched which I still have not managed to do.I am a single mother who is trying to get this company launched and create something that provides a stable income. I hate to pull that card but it is true, it is a lot of money for me to waste and now I do not have the means to pay someone else.I am always very clued up when it comes to seeing if someone is genuine online, I check all their reviews on all platforms, (as I did with this company) If you actually look at a lot of their reviews, they are just random accounts in random countries and seem to be generated through a gig on Fiverr or something like that.I have also seen Jack’s replies to bad reviews and he always has some kind of answer and passes the blame onto the client rather than accepting any responsibility himself.If he responds stating that what I am saying is not true, that is simply a lie.I have no reason to lie myself, I have all the messages etc on my emails and payments made.It is such a shame when a company looks like the absolute bees knees and this is the service you receive. An absolute let down and not all that glitters is gold. Clearly.
